The Thermal Image of Sun Orientation and Openings in Residential Buildings with Modern Tropical Design Concept in Medan City

This study aims to analyze thermal imagery of the sun's orientation and formation openings in residential houses with a modern tropical design concept Medan. The method used is temperature measurement building identification using digital imaging tool, namely Flir CX-3, which carried out during day, as well measuring WWR (window-to-wall ratio) value building. results image analysis show that North-South gets lower temperatures compared East-West orientation, even though it has larger 12.9% 20.9%. Based on this analysis, suggested consider sun designing city Houses are best choice for maximum comfort natural lighting, supported by large one characteristics architecture.
